Position Information

Title Project Coordinator (Independent Consultant)

Description The University of Notre Dame Initiative for Global Development (NDIGD) has been awarded an opportunity to facilitate the creation of a West Bank University Research Hub through the US Department of State.

To that end, the NDIGD seeks to recruit a Project Coordinator (PC) to support the overarching project in region. The PC will assist with communications, coordination, and strategy of the research hub activity. At a minimum, this will involve organizing workshops and trainings, and supporting travel arrangements of visiting faculty to the West Bank for trainings and research assignments. This consultancy is essential to ensuring that operations on the ground are well-planned given the number of stakeholders who will be served by the project.

Specifically, the PC will have accountability or responsibility to:

  • Serve as the primary logistics point of contact for program residency and workshop operations, assisting with venue planning, travel arrangements, budget alignment, participant registration and support.
  • Develop event communications and promotion plans, and help to execute accordingly.
  • Manage invitations and follow-up communications regarding workshops and residencies.
  • Publicize research grant opportunities, as needed.
  • Ensure monitoring and evaluation forms are completed correctly to support reporting requirements required throughout the program.
  • Maintain an updated attendee and contact list for future outreach and promotion.
  • Support the documentation of events through photography, video, etc., as well as develop marketing content for success stories.
  • Design and maintain program website (if established).
  • Help create project materials in both English and Arabic.
  • Contribute to monthly program updates on the achievement status of project milestones.
  • Liaise with the NDIGD project team for operational updates and requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree with 3-4 years of experience in project management and event execution in the West Bank. Fluency in English and Arabic. Ability to move .
