The assistant to the president for the administrative and financial affairs Mr. Faleh AbuArrah has received a delegation from the local government and the public work ministries in Ramallah and Jenin, who visited the university to see the developing projects and evaluate the main street between the city of Jenin and the university and that is under the combined cooperation to ensure the safety of the students and the traffic as well.
This meeting was as a result of the recent visit that the university have from the local government ministry under the supervision of Minister Dr. Nayef AbuKhalaf
The meeting included the general manager of the projects at the local government ministry Mr. Mohye Al-Deen Al-Aárda, the general manager at the ministry Mr. Hussain Sabra, the roads general manager at the work ministry Mr. Islam Abduljaber, the general manager at the local government ministry in Jenin Mr, Raéd Moqbel and the projects manager at the local government in Jenin Mr. Mahmoud Atatra.
During the meeting, Mr. AbuArrah gave an explanation to the delegation about the university and the future vision and achievements that it witnessed, especially on the infrastructure projects that will end soon that are represented by then international football court, the multi-function gym, the presidential building, the new building for the allied medical sciences, the finance department building, the administration and registration building, the language centre building and the dentistry clinics.
He clarified that the board of the university has decided to start establishing graduate studies faculty in Ramallah in order to provide the largest campus in Palestine that fulfil the needs of the youth people of the great education, the typical model faculties and the other services.
Mr. Abu Arrah talked about the students who graduated from the university and how special they are in the market, and how they outperform their colleagues especially in the medical fields by passing the tests with excellent results.
The roads’ general manager at the local government ministry Engineer Islam Abduljaber said: “the ministry is about to start rebuilding the street at the cross roads of Al-Zababdeh that reaches Qabatya road that passes the Haddad village and ends at the eastern neighbourhood in Jenin city.”
The delegation also went to a field trip that Mr. AbuArrah showed them the university projects and their future plans. The delegation show their interest in the progress the university made academically and in the infrastructure, and appreciated the efforts of those who build this great edifice and to establish this great university in the international standards.
The delegation also discussed the situations of the (university- Jenin) street that lacks lightening, and the traffic signs. Also it has some bumps at the street that lately caused some accidents. So they discussed the mechanisms of developing it to serve the traffic and make sure that students are safe.
