Hassib Al-Sabbagh Center for Information Technology Excellence at Arab American University signed two agreements to sponsor projects with two groups of university students through the recently launched PASS program, which is implemented by Leaders Foundation, funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
The Manger of Hassib Al-Sabbagh Center, Eng. Ahmed Fouad, said that the program aims to support the pioneering ideas and turn them into projects and new institutions. Where it will be done with the students whom signed the agreement.
He explained that the first agreement was signed with the students Abdul Salam Mansour, Mukhlas Turkman, and Ali Sawahreh, where their project is about designing a device to measure the signs of ECG and analysis it, using data mining techniques to predict the patient's heart disorder problems and to find a cure for them before complications occur.

Where the qualified team was given $ 5,000 to help launch their new project. Hassib Al Sabbagh Center with the partnership of Ibdaa Co. have finished 12 training course, the trainings were finished by presenting a series of pilot projects, which were evaluated by a committee of judges: Eng. A Teacher at Anastasia Qarwani Language Center and a student at the Intercultural Communication and Literature Program at the University, has been nominated for the short listed tenth edition of the “Etisalat - Child Book” Award, one of the most prestigious awards for children's literature in the Arab world.
The story that was painted by the Slovenian artist Maya Castells, which its name was listed on the IBBY Global List of Children's Literature, competes within three categories: Children's Book of the Year, The best drawing category and the Best Output category.
