One hour apart from her dream of graduation
The university’s president, Professor Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri, handed over to the father of the deceased Maram Sabeeh, a student in occupational therapy at the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences from Kfarkna village in the Palestinian 48 territories, her university certificate as an honor of her spirit, after she passed away from a heart attack, where she only had one hour left to complete her dream of graduation.
The Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Zaki Saleh, and Dean of Admission and Registration Dr. Hazem Khanfar. Attend this event, where Dr. Abu Zuhri, said: "I wished I could hand over this certificate to the deceased student Maram in the graduation ceremony next year in front of her fellow students and professors, and the audience, but Allah’s fatality has its will, and today in Arab American University we with great regret and sadness toward the deceased.
As he added: Today I say to the family of the deceased despite the great casualty, Maram was an example of a hard-working and glorious student, she went for her goal of obtaining the university's certificate. Today we hand over her certificate to her father to honor her spirit. The pride of her persistence for years to persevere to obtain this educational degree, May Mercy be upon our daughter and student Maram, and may her soul rest in peace.
Sadly, Fouad Sabih, the deceased father, said: " Allah’s fatality has its will, my dear daughter Maram, I hope from God that we can be patient from this loss. Today I am at your university, your dream of graduating receiving your university certificate. And your memories are present in all its details at home, university and town, and we will continue to share the moments of joy and sorrow together, for your spirit of lasting love and peace, and we thank Arab American University.
