The representative of the Republic of India to Palestine Mr. Aneesh Rajan, visited the University campus in Ramallah to discuss the means of academic and research cooperation, as he was introduced to the university and its academic programs in bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. In addition to discussing a number of ideas to open horizons of cooperation between the university and Indian universities, and the implementation of joint programs.
the Chairman of the Board of Directors Dr. Yousef Asfour welcomed the representative of the Republic of India along with the President of the University, Prof. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri, the Academic Advisor Dr. Walid Dieb, the Vice Presidents.
During the meeting the President of University Prof. Abu Zuhri shared with the delegation the University's achievements in the academic, research and international partnerships, teaching methods and continuous development in the academic programs. As he assured that the university has a vision to start partnership with a number of Indian universities, in Academic and student exchanges.
The representative of the Republic of India Mr. Rajan expressed his admiration for the University and its outstanding academic level and its adoption of teaching methods based mainly on learning, thinking, creativity, continuous research on information and development of skills and scientific training and its efforts to promote higher education in Palestine. He assured the importance of opening and enhancing cooperation between Arab American University and Indian universities.
Chairman of the Board of Directors Dr. Asfour spoke about the stages of establishing the university and its continuous efforts to develop in all fields to be an incubator for Palestinian youth who want to learn and seek innovation and excellence. He added that the University's Board is keen to provide all the necessary equipment, whether medical or technological or scientific or research, to support the educational process in the university, and provide modern science in keeping with the rapid development in the world science.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways of academic and research cooperation, exchange of experiences and student visits with Indian universities. The representative of the Republic of India listened briefly about the universitys’ mission and vision of improving the level of higher education through the provision of distinguished programs and the creation of regional and international partnerships.
