AAUP team has qualified for the third and final stage in PASS Competition, which is part of a program implemented by Leaders institution, funded by the Korean Agency for International Cooperation. The team consists of students and graduates from the faculties of Engineering & Information Technology, administrative and financial Sciences, where the team was selection among the top 10 leading projects national wide.
Other universities are also participating in the project as Al-Quds, Birzeit, Al-Najah, and Khadouri".
The idea of the project is to design a device that measures and analyzes ECG signals, using data mining techniques to predict the patient's heart disorder problems and to find a cure for it before complications occur.
The project team, consisting of Abdul Salam Mansoor, Mukhlis Turkman, Lana Awad and Ali Sawahra, received in the first & second phase a funding of $ 10,000 to develop the first part of the device. After getting qualified, the team will receive an additional $ 10,000 to complete the development The final product.
