The Arab American University of Palestine (AAUP) is looking for a qualified, dynamic and creative candidate to fulfill the following vacancy:
RARE DISEASES FIELD COORDINATOR
JOB SUMMARY
The Field Coordinator main responsibilities are to oversee, coordinate and consolidate the day to day recruitment of patients and families to the project, create and manage work schedules, and include organizing routes for individual field visits or scheduling long-term projects that involve collaborators.
The Field Coordinator with be responsible to the local Project Lead.
The contract lasts for 6 months.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule patients for rare diseases research clinics
- Gather patient-related health reports and create a secure filing system
- Visit project sites to verify the work to be performed
- Liaise and coordinate with other healthcare professionals as appropriate
- Help in translating and designing rare diseases educational material
- Complete work orders and field progress reports, and generate project reports summarizing field worker hours and patients’ lists
- Foster disease-related peer-to-peer learning
- Help in creating testimonials from patients and families in collaboration with team members
TRAINING / EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- Bachelor degree in humanities sciences, or other appropriate degree course
- Experience in field coordination work for families and children, e.g. with neurological and/or physical handicap
- Previous experience in health care record keeping and filing systems
- Previous experience in coordinating projects involving community services
- Proficiency in Arabic and English languages is mandatory
