AAUP hosted a training course organized by the International Legal Institution (ILF), entitled “Criminal Defense”, targeting a number of lawyers. The course duration was 4 days a total of 20 hours.
This course is part of the cooperation between the Faculty of Law at the University and the International Legal Institution where a cooperation agreement was signed between both parties regarding legal clinics, workshops and training courses targeting law graduates and its students.
The course aims to develop lawyer’s abilities in how to represent before the Palestinian regular courts concerning criminal matters. Where the course illustrates form the beginning as when the accused is arrested by the police, then appears before the courts, until the appeal cassation.
At the end of the course, the Dean of the Faculty of Law Dr. Ghassan Alayyan, and the legal advisers in the institution Mr. Laith Al-Kilani, and Mr. Nael Ghannam, distributed certificates to the participants in this training.
