Lina Maloukh
Dr. Lina Kanaan Jamil Maloukh she is working as an assistant professor in the faculty of Biotechnology, University of Modern Sciences in Dubai.
She was graduated with B.Sc. of Biotechnology from the Faculty of Arts and Science, department of Biotechnology from AAUJ in 2004 with the highest GPA of the Faculty. Lina was one of the most active student that was participating in different activities in the University.
She received her Master’s degree in Medical Molecular Biotechnology from the University of Gent in Belgium and graduated with honor in 2005. In the same year, she was granted a scholarship from the University of Gent in Belgium to continue her Ph.D. and graduated in 2010 as a Dr. in Applied Biological Sciences and Biotechnology. Her thesis was about the functional characterization of genes controlling the production of anti-cancer compounds in hop plant.
During her Ph.D., she made several collaborations with different Universities in USA and Czech Republic. She travelled extensively to those countries to optimize her experiments for her Ph.D.
Dr. Lina published several articles in different international journals and attended many international conferences.
From 2010 to 2014, she spent her post-doctorate in INRA institute of Versailles in France. Her research was about gene targeting the different species.
