Researcher Maysam Mohammed Abdullah, physics student at the Arab American University Faculty of Graduate Studies, discussed her thesis for the Master degree titled “Optical and Electrical Dynamics of ZnS / Ge / GaSe Thin Chips”.
In her thesis, she addressed the ZnS/Ge/GaSe chips design
The spectroscopy of ZnS/Ge/GaSe layers was studied by electronic microscopy, x-ray dispersion spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, spectrophotometer and impedance spectrum. The researcher also diagnosed the voltage and current curves under tungsten light on the GaSe layer surface from the top. She noted during her study that the ZnS layer is the only crystallized layer and that the other layers are randomly structured.
By the end, the committee of thesis supervisor and head of committee Prof. Dr. Atef Qasrawi, Arab American University Internal Examiner Dr. Hazim Khanfar and External Examiner from An-Najah University Dr. Khaled Alewi, decided to give Maysam Abdullah a Master degree.
