Arab American University President Prof. Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri welcomed the Palestinian President of Al Ain University for Science and Technology Prof. Dr. Ghaleb Rifai, visited the university to discuss academic and scientific cooperation, exchanging experiences and teaching staff, organizing students’ visits and conducting joint scientific research.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Rifai welcomed the VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Zaki Saleh, VP for Training Dr. Nizam Diab, President Assistant for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Arra, Dean of Admission and Registration Dr. Hazem Khanfar, Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Abdullah Wolwel and Board Member Jamal Howil.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Abu Zuhri praised the cooperation between the Arab American University and Al Ain University for Science and Technology and praised the scientific and academic history of Prof. Rifai. Also he gave a detailed explanation of the university and its faculties and academic programs in bachelor's and master's degrees. PhD in Palestine in Business Administration in partnership with the University of Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA.
He stressed, the university philosophy based on main principles of academic excellence, promoting scientific research, building local, regional and international scientific partnerships, and serving the community. He also, welcomed improving academic and research cooperation, exchanging scientific experiences, faculty members and students and developing academic programs with Al Ain University for Science and Technology.
Dr. Refai praised the Arab American University academic and research achievements, saying “Palestine and its young generations need distinguish and modern education which the Arab American University provided”. He stressed on the importance to strengthen the university existing cooperation with Al Ain University of Science and Technology in many scientific fields.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed several ideas and programs to enhance their existing partnership in academic maters, scientific research, staff exchange and organizing scientific visits for students.
Dr. Rifai toured the campus, where he checked the multi-purpose gymnasium, admission and registration building, and had detailed explanation for the services the university provides to its students.
