The Arab American University got three research grants from Zamalah Fellowship program under the supervision of Tawoon Foundation and the Bank of Palestine's financial suport. The program aims to improve the higher education and teaching methods quality to meet the needs of the market and society development.
Zamalah Fellowship Program offers financial support to outstanding faculty members to conduct research, development and training visits to universities and international research centers. Arab American University encourage its faculty members to apply for the program for its positive results affecting the scholars, University faculty members and students.
In the 7th year of Zamalah Fellowship, Dr. Ahmad Batran of the Faculty of Nursing, Dr. Ahmed Ewais of the Faculty of Engineering and IT, and Ms. Jamila Daraghmeh of the Faculty of Science got research grants from the program.
Dr. Ahmad Batran research will be “Analyzing the Nutritional Status and Physical Composition of Children in Palestinian Schools”, where he will visit the University of Granada, Spain. While, Dr. Ahmed Ewais will address “The Use of Phone Applications through Enhanced Reality at Secondary School Education in Palestine (Guides & Terms)”, he will visit the Free University of Brussels in Belgium. As for Ms. Jamila Dragameh her research “Participation in Research Activities in the Proteins and Mass Spectrometry Advanced Laboratory – Detecting Active Components of the PI3K / mTOR Pathway in Response to Treat Androgen Deprivation in Prostate Cancer”, will be done during her visit to the University of Verona, Italy.
