The Fiqh and Law Department at the Faculty of Law of the Arab American University organized an honoring ceremony for 70 students _including school students_ who participated at the contest of memorizing the Holy Qurán.
Dr.Nitham Thiab, the vice-president for the Community Affairs started the ceremony by saying that education is not only the subject and the courses required from the faculty, but also it extends outside the wall of the university. He praised the Fiqh and Law Department that finds unique specialties and manages to combine them with other different specialties.
Dr. Khair Al-Deen Talib, the Head of the Fiqh and Law department said that “through this activity, the department seeks to connect between the practical and scientific fields for students. And so, memorizing the Qurán is one of the basic unites for students to build strong personalities”.
The lecturer at the Shareaá faculty at Al-Najah National University, Dr. Muntaser Al-Asmar described the project of the Holy Quraán concourse that started at his university in 2011 that aims to make students participate in extracurricular activities and use their time in learning and memorizing the Quraán, and other activities as well.
