The Arab American University participated along with many local and international companies at a conference called “GIS in Palestine 2016” that was organized by the International American Company Aceri in Ramallah.
The conference aimed to highlight the latest advancements in the GIS field and to introduce the different institutions that are working in developing this system.
Dr. Waleed Sabbah- the Head of the GIS Department at the university talked about the university saying that “The Arab American University was the first in opening a GIS academic program that gives students a bachelor degree in GIS”. He clarified that the program aims to teach students the best courses that convoys the labor market needs.
