Arab American University Faculty of Law organized a lecture titled “Shariah Judiciary, Theory & Application”, to highlight the Sharia judiciary work in Palestine, judicial rulings and legal implementation mechanisms, the Sharia courts components, and the assets of work in them at the Palestinian Authority territories compared to those in the occupied Palestinian territories in 48. In addition to address Palestine’s high divorce rates. A group of the Jurisprudence and Law Department students attended the lecture.

The lecture was moderated by Professor of Jurisprudence and its Principles at the Faculty of Law Dr. Khair-Aldeen Taleb and was opened by the Head of the Jurisprudence and Law Department Dr. Medhat Hamad, stressing the importance of these meetings in bridging the gap between the theoretical curriculum and practical reality in all its details. He pointed to the need to present theoretical curricula into practical reality through such seminars, which directly contact law students and the courts, making their future task more nice and easy.

Samira Moath Al-Masri, a commercial law student in the Faculty of Graduate Studies at the Arab American University, defended her thesis entitled “Legal Regulation for Restructuring Public Shareholding Companies in Palestine: Comparative Study”.

The researcher mentioned what is Public Shareholding Companies Restructuring. The study concluded that the restructuring of companies includes administrative and financial restructuring to preserve the company continuity and sustainability, and avoid stumbling or liquidation. She recommended the necessity of having appropriate legal framework for restructuring companies in Palestine to organize their work.

Arab American University hosted an awareness lecture titled “Electronic Crimes Types and How to Handle Them”, organized by Al-Hadath Palestinian Newspaper. It aims to present the mechanisms students can use with the different electronic crimes types.

The seminar was attended by Dean of Faculty of Arts at the Arab American University Dr. Marwan Abu Al-Rub, Police Spokesman Lt. Col. Loay Irziqat, Eng. Mohammad Masoud of the Police Electronic Crimes Unit, Head of Training Department at Al-Istiqlal University Dr. Yasser Abdullah, the Arab American University lecturer at Arabic Language and Media Department Dr. Mahmoud Khallouf, university social counselor Ms. Laila Herzallah, representatives of Jenin and Tubas police departments, and a number of the teaching and administrative bodies members.
