Faculty of Graduate Studies at the Arab American University Ramallah Campus hosted the former South African Ambassador to the State of Palestine Mr. Rafique Gangat in a lecture for Conflict Resolution and Development Master Students, to talk about interlocking boundaries between strategic and effective communication on one hand, and conflicts resolution on the other, knowing these two fields are intertwined with each other and with other knowledge fields.

The Ambassador Ghangat was welcomed by the Conflict Resolution and Development lecturer at the Faculty of Graduate Studies Dr. Ayman Yousef and Administrative Director of Ramallah Campus Mr. Mohammad Saba’na.

The lecture was attended by the conflict resolution and development program students who interacted with great passion as the lecturer used interactive tools, brainstorming and humor to manage the lecture, which had a great impact in making a change in them, conceptually and theoretically as all these theoretical methods were linked to the Palestinian case reality.

The Palestinian artist and Director of the Arab American University, Ramallah campus Mr. Mohammed Saba'neh, participated in the exhibition entitled “Solidarity Day with the Palestinian People” organized by the Palestinian Mission in the United Nations in cooperation with the Committee of Solidarity with the Palestinian People at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.

Saba'na's participation came in light of his achievements in caricatures. The Palestinian delegation to the United Nations proposed arranging exhibition to present the achievements of many Palestinian personalities and national institutions with significant achievements in their field.

Researcher Azhar Abdelkarim Hamdan, a computer science student at the Arab American University Faculty of Graduate Studies, defended her master thesis entitled “The use of GIS based on decision support to manage water distribution networks – Nablus city as Case Study”.

She addressed the use of GIS and hydraulic analysis systems to build an intelligent system capable of connecting all components of the water network and finding water losses. The researcher recommended building accurate geographic water networks databases to enable it to intelligently save, display and manage data, leading to right decisions backed with science and accurate information.
