AAUP Announces the Start of a New Bachelors Program in Prosthetics and Orthotics Sciences at Faculty of Allied Medical Science, accredit from both Ministries of Education and Health, in addition to the accreditation of the International Organization for Prosthetics and Orthotics Sciences, to be the first program of its kind in Palestine that aims to graduate professionals titled as Senior Specialist.
This program enables its graduates to diagnose the needs of prostheses and orthotics, and to engineer these organs according to each case, based on the knowledge and understanding of the principles of mechanical motion, human body surgery, engineering technology drawings, the designing electronic robotics and manufacturing them in factories, laboratories and clinics provided by the University in order to train the students, and welcoming patients with upper and lower amputations, patients with musculoskeletal disorders, fractures, bone malformations, paralysis of the central nervous system
Continuing Education Center at the University received an international accreditation in the field of professional training from the Accreditation Council (SWAC) for trainees, which is responsible of reviewing the training quality offered by the university or institution or training program. Where the advisor Mohammed Hassunih the representative of the Council in Palestine handed over the accreditation to the Director of the Continuing Education Center, Dr. Khaled Attieh.
Dr. Attieh Head of the center said that this accreditation allows the students who enrolled in the training courses to internationally equivalent their certificates with 13 international specialized institutions, as it allows them to enter higher quality training on a global level, allowing them to achieve their professional goals and aspirations.
The head of the Palestinian Basketball Federation Mr. Ibrahim Habash, has announced that the AFC recognized the basketball court at the Sports hall in Jenin Campus, the “Home Stadium” to be the only it is the only national “home stadium” for the national Fedayeen team. Where it will hold all the matches of Fedayeen team of the sixth group, which will also include the Palestine team, the Jordanian teams, Kazakhstan and Sri Lanka team next November.
He added, We at the Palestinian Basketball Federation have worked with the AFC to recognize the basketball court at AAUP as a national home stadium for the Palestinian national team. As it has all the international standards adopted by the AFC, and stressed that the Palestinian Federation has met the requirements of AFC.
