The start of the Data Matters Festival organized by the University and the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) with the occasion of the World Statistics Day, on the 20th of October each year, the festival was held at the Culture Palace in Ramallah.
The Arab American University participated in the 2nd International Students Festival for Short Films, which was organized in the Tunisian Nabil city with participation of several Arab, European, and Asian countries.
The university participation is part of the student cultural exchange between Palestine and Tunisia under the auspices of the Ministries of Education and Higher education in both countries and under the supervision of the Arab American University President Prof. Dr. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri and follow-up by Dean of the Faculty of Arts Dr. Marwan Abu-Rob and Chairman of Arabic Language and Media Dept. Dr. Mohamed Abu-Rob.
Arab American University hosted Palestine Animation and Cartoon Festival, organized by “Move Palestine” cinematic initiative, the festival included several activities on top of it; specialized workshops, seminar discussions and present Animation and Cartoon movies.
The workshops entitled “The process of producing 2D and 3D motion movies and Basics of Animation” talked about designing, its beginnings, work mechanism, and film production mechanism and some illustrative films were presented for the students.
