The University & the Police of Jenin Governorate discuss ways of cooperation to provide security for students and organize traffic

The President of Arab American University Prof. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri welcomed the delegation from the Police Directorate of Jenin to discuss ways of cooperation to provide security and safety for students outside the campus and organizing traffic.

The delegation included the director of the Police Directorate Col. Nadi Halahleh, Head of Academic Affairs Dept at the Police station Col. Mansur Khuzaimia, Head of Traffic Dept at the Police Station in Jenin Col. Majdi Darwish. Whereas the VP for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Arrah, PR Manager Mr. Fathi Amour, and Head of the Security Dept. at the University Mr. Fakhri Jaradat also welcomed the delegation.

Board of Directors of AAUP

The Board of Directors of Arab American University held its regular meeting in the Jordanian capital of Amman to discuss achievements of the university, its current and future development projects, the development of distinguished academic programs and the recruitment of academic staff from international competencies.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Yousuf Asfour the Chairman of the Board, in the presence of his deputy Eng. Abdul Halim Muhad, members of the bourd, Eng. Zuhair Hijjawi, Dr. Rashad Al-Bata, Mr. Osid Asfour, Dr. Raed Dalbah, Mr. Baha Asfour, Prof. Walid Dieb, The University President Prof. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Arrah, Legal Advisor to the Board of Directors Mr. Salah Jawdeh and Mr. Laith Hijjawi.

Part of the meeting

The University organized a meeting in Ramallah Campus for Health Informatics Master Students about electronic health data, as part of the University's efforts to raise awareness and guide its students to the priorities of health information research required in Palestine.

The meeting was presented by the Health Systems director at the World Health Organization, Mr. Mohamed Bani Odeh, who presented for the students the sources of the electronic health data and focused on its importance and analysis to strengthen and support academic research.

Dr. Shahinaz Al-Najjar, a faculty member in the program and coordinator of the meeting, assured the importance of these researchs to improve the health situation in these new and unique topics.
