The universities – AAUP, Palestine Polytechnic, and Al-Quds celebrate the launch of Joint Ph.D. Program in Information Technology Engineering the first of its kind in Palestine, which was recently accredited by the National Commission for Accreditation and Quality at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
The ceremony which was hosted by the Arab American University campus in Ramallah, was attended by the Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Sabri Sidem, President of Arab American University Prof. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri, President of Al Quds University Prof. Imad Abu Kishk, President of Palestine Polytechnic University Prof. Imad Al Khatib, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Allam Mousa, The Minister of Jerusalem Dr. Adnan al-Husseini, and the Chairman of the Higher Council for Creativity Prof. Adnan Samar, And Minister of Local Government Dr.
The Ambassador of Venezuela to the state of Palestine Mr. Maher Taha visited the University campus in Ramallah and was introduced to its academic programs in master's and doctorate degrees, as the both sides discussed ways of joint cooperation.
The Venezuelan Ambassador was welcomed by the chairman of boards of Directors Dr. Yusuf Asfour, the University's President Prof. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri, the Dean of Faculty of Graduate Studies Dr. Abdul Rahman Abu Libdeh, and the Vice President for International Relations Dr. Dalal Erekat.
Arab American University represented by Dr. Dalal Erekat Vice President for International Relations and Challenge to Change institution for Women's Empowerment, registered in Switzerland, represented by the director of Palestine Branch Mrs. Sally Al-Shami signed a cooperation agreement.
The agreement through the institution, aims to empower female university students in various fields through training courses and leading programs that will help face the challenges and meet the demands of the labor market. The institution will also work to enhance the skills and abilities of the female students and transform challenges and obstacles into opportunities for positive change.
