A Swiss tourist delegation visits the university

A Swiss tourist delegation has visited the university, within its current tour to Palestine. The visit is part of the delegation's path which started from Nazareth to Bethlehem by foot.

The delegation was welcomed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Zaki Saleh, and from Public Relations dept. Ms. Samah Dawhadi and Mr. Raed Abu Bakr.

Dr. Saleh gave an introduction presentation about the university its goals and mission, and its educational, cultural and social services, referring to the services it provides in the sports field.

The Vice-President of International Relations Dr. Dalal Erekat welcomed the Deputy Consul of Spain Mr. Khoseh Luis, who visited the university campus in Ramallah to see the graduate programs and discuss academic cooperation with Spanish universities.

The Spanish Deputy Consul discussed the importance of exchange programs for students and professors and praised the agreement between Arab American University and the University of Granada in Spain, which will be implemented during the next academic year.

He confirmed his readiness to arrange visa and departure procedures for students and Palestinian employees of Arab American University who are to enroll in the exchange programs next year in Spanish universities.

Part of the Visit

The University welcomed a delegation from University of Exeter UK from the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Peter Turnbini and Dr. Emma Babil who visited the university to discuss ways of cooperation in medical research fields.

The Vice President for International Relations Dr. Dalal Irekat, welcomed the guest and pointed out the university's vision in bulling international cooperation with other universities to exchange academic and research experiences to enrich the university’s students and faculty members.
