Researcher Mahmoud Taher Ibrahim defense

Researcher Mahmoud Taher Ibrahim, a student in Applied Mathematics program at Faculty of Graduate Studies at Arab American University, defended his master degree thesis entitled “The Legendre Wavelet Method for Solving Nonlinear Equations”.

The researcher analyzed the Legendre two-variable method to solve Volterra's nonlinear integrative equation of single, binary and three-dimensional. Pointing, the Legendre two-shifting-variable method was studied in detail. He founded some formulas related to Volterra three-dimensional integrative equation. In order to find an approximate solution Volterra equation was converted from type I to type II to reach a linear system of algebraic equations. The researcher presented numerical examples to illustrate the method and its accuracy.

Researcher Haneen Waleed Zaghlol Defense

Researcher Haneen Waleed Zaghlol, Applied Mathematics program student at AAUJ Faculty of Graduate Studies, defended her master thesis titled “Explicit solution to solve an infinite system of ordinary linear differential equations with fixed coefficients of linear diameters three-matrix”.

The researcher pointed in her thesis that she derived the explicit solution of an infinite system of linear differential equations with fixed coefficients and applied some mathematical techniques to found the system solution in trigonometric coefficients matrix and diameter coefficients matrix in addition to the MATLAB program.
