The evaluation unit is the place where the occupational therapist meets with the child and their parents. The following information is requested about the child:
- Demographic information
- Medical history
- Social and economic status
- Surrounding environment
- Evaluation of motor, cognitive, behavioral, academic, and sensory abilities in accordance with standards made to test the child’s points of strength and weakness, and to set treatment goals that specifically adapt to the child’s condition.
