Arab American University seeks from this conference to highlight "The role of the national movement in the 48 Palestinian Territories to strengthen the Palestinian national identity", and the important role played by the Palestinians in the 48 territories to maintain the national identity and to remain on their lands, especially the role played by civil society organizations, Arab parties and municipalities, as well as the roles of academics, students and social movements.
From this point it is important to focus on maintaining the communication of the national movements in the 48 Palestinian territories and aboard, where AAUP is organizing this conference for a discussion among the academic and political figures in order to address this issue for presentation and analysis, and as an output perform proposals and recommendations aimed at highlighting the national identity in general for all Palestinians inside and outside Palestine.
One of the outcomes of the conference is build a Palestinian national narrative that matches and competes with the Zionist narrative about the right of existence in this land, and to look at the future with more optimism and hopes of return to the homeland.

Goals of the Conference:
- To highlight the national role played by the national movement inside the 48 Palestinian territories in strengthening the Palestinian presence.
- Studying the nature of the national movement within the 48 Palestinian territories, in terms of its role, characteristics, general characteristics and ways for branding it.
- Demonstrate the common nature of the national movement in 48 Palestinian territories, and with the Palestinian national movement in general.
- Creating a national Palestinian network of academics, activists and political figures whose first task is to build a national philosophy for the Palestinian presence on the land.
- Enhance the intellectual and cultural resistance for all Palestinians to face the threats and esoteric projects, foremost the National Racial Law and the Deal of the Century.
