AAUP Online Workshop on Northern Ireland Peace Process

Online workshop via Zoom on Northern Ireland for the Conflict Resolution MA program. Dr Dalal Iriqat held an online workshop on the Peace Process of Northern Ireland that led to the Good Friday agreement, the workshop presented the Irish- British and Northern Irish perspectives. 

Speakers: 

• The Northern Ireland civil society perspective was presented by Dr. Gary Mason- Rethinking Conflict, speaking from Belfast.

• The Irish official perspective was presented by the representative of Ireland, Mr Jonathan Conlon speaking from Jerusalem.

• The British official perspective was presented by the political consul at the British consulate in Jerusalem, Mr Jack Fitzgerald speaking from London/UK.

The workshop gave the opportunity to the MA researchers to discuss and engage with first hand experienced people on the conflict and peace process of Northern Ireland. Diplomats and academics had kindly joined via Zoom to enhance AAUP online learning process under Covid-19.
