Arab American University Delegation Visits Training Center for Jerusalem Electricity Company, Jericho to Discuss Ways of Cooperation

A delegation of Hassib Al-Sabbagh Center for Excellence in IT and AAUJ Faculty of Engineering and IT, visited Jerusalem Electricity Company center for professional and academic training in Jericho to discuss ways of cooperation.

The delegation included, Lecturers at the Faculty of Engineering and IT Dr. Osama Omari and Eng. Ahlam Abu Zahu, and Director of Hassib Sabbagh Center Mr. Alaa Hattab. All welcomed by Director of Training Unit and General Directors Assistant for Technology Affairs Hani Ghosheh, and professional and academic training center’s director Zaki Al-Afghani.

Al-Afghani welcomed the Arab American University delegation and praised the university role in graduating generations of future leaders who will be responsible for building the Palestinian society. He talked about the training center, its ability to maintain these devices to refine the students’ skills and enable them to engage in the job market after graduation. Explaining, the Jerusalem Electricity Company has kept pace with the technological development in the world and work to introduce smart technology to provide the best services to all its clients in concession areas.

Director of Training Department and Director General Assistant for Technology Hani Ghosheh said that the Palestinian Energy Hub is taking part in the technical and academic training center, and gave detailed explanation of the project that establishes a qualitative start in energy, creativity and creating jobs opportunity in Palestine. Established by Palestinian hands, minds and experiences.

Director of Hassib Al-Sbbagh Center for IT Excellence at Arab American University Alaa Hattab said the visit carried several objectives, including recognition of the training center. It’s planned to set up a professional program to install and maintenance of photovoltaic panels in Hassib Al-Sabbagh Center, and to train Engineering students in the center.

He pointed, the hub visited the training center to discuss joint cooperation possibilities to help university students in their graduation projects, and agreed to organize the training center delegation a visit to the Arab American University to check it and its academic programs.

Hattab stressed, one of the university priorities to take care of entrepreneurship and provide what’s necessary to students to be pioneers. Emphasizing, it’s important to cooperate with pioneers sponsoring institutions.
