Arab American University hosted a delegation from Granada College in the 1948 Palestinian lands, who visited the university to discuss joint cooperation in academic, research and educational aspects between them.
The delegation included Granada College Director Dr. Taha Amara, Directors Assistant Mr. Mashhur Mustafa, the college Legal Advisor lawyer Ahmad Amara, associated with Vice-President of retired military personnel Anwar Khalaf, and representative of communication committee with the 1948 Palestine Mr. Anan Deek.
University President Prof. Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri, Directors Board Academic Advisor and AAUJ founder president Dr. Waleed Deeb and University President Administrative and Financial Assistant Mr. Faleh Abu Arra, all welcomed them.
Prof. Dr. Abu Zuhri gave detailed explanation for the delegation on the university, its history, goals and vision. Pointing, AAUJ has 9 faculties, 10 thousands students half of them from the 1948 Palestine, it offers bachelor and master degrees in many fields. He added, the university provides its students with modern learning environment, access to educational technologies. It’s also equipped with model clinics in dental faculty, laboratories with the latest educational tools such as patients’ simulators in nursing faculty, advanced computer labs and modern offices, etc.
He told the delegation about AAUJ academic and research achievements, its efforts to provide local and regional labor market with competent graduates after rehabilitation, provided them with modern knowledge and needed skills in cooperation with local and international institutions.
Dr. Amara expressed his pleasure to visit the university and stressed it has good academic reputation nationally and regionally. “We are proud of the university and its excellence achieved in a few years to become one of the most important Palestinian universities”. He added, the Palestinian labor market is witnessing university graduates excellence and efficiency.
During the meeting, University President Prof. Dr. Abu Zuhri and the College Director Dr. Amara discussed academic and students exchange cooperation along with other ideas to start real, affective scientific partnership.
Granada college delegation took a tour around the university campus, visiting Dentistry Faculty and its clinics, Registration and Acceptance and its work mechanism, the university new computer lab and its services.
