Arab American University and Qatar University discussed cooperation in academic and scientific fields, exchange experiences and faculty members, organizing student visits and conducting joint scientific researches during a visit to Qatar University along with attending “WISE” World Innovation Summit for Education 2017, by University President Prof. Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri, Directors Board Academic Advisor and University founding President Prof. Dr. Waleed Deeb, and University President Advisor for Universities Classification Dr. Moath Sabha.
President of the University of Qatar Dr. Hassan Al-Durham, VP for Research and Graduate Studies Dr. Mariam Al-Maadeed, Chef Strategy and Development Officer Dr. Darwish Al-Emadi, and Director of Scholarships and Partnerships Office Mr. Cesar Wazen, all welcomed them.
During the meeting, Prof. Abu Zuhri presented a detailed explanation of the Arab American University, its colleges, bachelor and master degrees academic programs, and talked about the University's recent achievement to have the first Business Administration PhD program in partnership with Indiana University, Pennsylvania. Stressing the university main principles are academic excellence, promoting scientific research, build local, regional and international scientific partnerships, and service society advancement. Also he welcomed discussing academic and research cooperation prospects, exchange scientific experiences, faculty members and students, and develop Academic Programs with Qatar University.
As for the President of Qatar University, Prof. Dr. Al-Durham expressed his happiness with the Arab American University delegation. He said: “Palestine and its young generations’ needs distinctive and modern education, which the Arab American University provides”. Stressing, Qatar University’s seek to cooperate in several scientific and academic fields.
The two sides discussed a number of ideas and programs, during their meeting, to enhance academic and scientific researches cooperation, exchange faculty members, and organize student scientific visits in addition to signing a MoU in the near future.
