Arab American University hosted a visiting delegation from the 1948 Palestinian Lands which came to check it and get to know its academic programs.
The delegation headed by Priest Saleh Khoury and Dr. Ghazal Abu Raya, included representatives of institutions and associations and school principals in the occupied homeland. The Vice President for Training, Dr. Nizam Diab welcomed them with his assistant Dr. Saba’ Jarrar and the Public Relations Director Mr. Fathi Amour.
The University Vice President for Training Dr. Diab welcomed the guests and gave a detailed explanation on the university's development. Also referred to the academic programs it offers for undergraduate, master and doctoral levels. He spoke about its future plans for academic, scientific research and public facilities to serve local community. Mentioning its philosophy three pillars: academic development, support scientific research, and community service. Noting the university cooperates with American, European, International and Arab universities, and continued about its actions to meet the needs of its students from different regions.
The Head of Delegation Dr. Ghazal Abu Raya praised the Arab American University role and thanked them for the good reception. Stressing, the university is the 1948 Palestinians second home with high academic value. Pointing, the university’s education varies than other universities, especially the Palestinian ones.
Vice President for Training Dr. Nizam Dhiab listened to the guest's questions and answered them. He also saw a documentary about the university and closely identified its colleges, buildings, and facilities during the field tour.
