A formalism court that simulates the Sharia court

The students at the Fiqh and Law Department of the Faculty of Law at the Arab American University organized a formalism court “Alimony” under the supervision of the Head of the Department Dr. Khair Aldeen Talib and Dr. Fadi Daraghmeh- a Professor at the university.
This court is the first of its kind at the department of Fiqh and Law and it comes as part of “the fundamental concepts of the Sharia courts” course.

The goal behind this activity was to train students how to deal with the legal work at the Palestinian Sharia courts, and that will prepare students to the future.
The activity contained some students who acted like a whole real court. They played the role of the judge, lawyers, witnesses, the clerk and the court Usher.
