“Tamayaz” group in the Arab American University implemented several community activities in different areas of Jenin region, in order to increase awareness of the group to the importance of youth role.
The events included: coating the wall of Burkin Girls' Secondary School, painted lines of pedestrians in front of schools in the town of Burkin, and organizing a day of joy and fun for the primary third-grade students at Jalqamus Girls' Secondary School, and a recreational activity for the eighth-grade students at Deir Abu Da’eef Girls’ Secondary School.
Dean of Student Affairs at the University Dr. Abdullah Walweel confirmed on the importance of these activities, which aim to entrench the principle of volunteerism and community service in all its categories, indicating that the university seeks to solidify this principle among students who are on the verge of graduation, and directed his thanks to all who contributed to the success of these events.
It is worth mentioning that "Tamayaz" is a strategic national program, designed to enable the Palestinian university students through bridging the big gap between the university's theoretical academic environment and the work environment which requires different kind of practical skills and abilities required by the labour market, and which changes constantly due to the huge acceleration in the business world.
