The hosting of a photography fair under the name “the Childhood and the shadow”

The Arab American University hosted a photography fair under the name “the Childhood and the shadow” that was organized by Al-Horyeh theatre in Jenin. This fair which was organized and prepared by the students who took a photography course is considered one of the activities that the Multimedia department at the theatre does.
The fair contains 54 photos divided into two art sections. The first section is among the childhood fair that concentrates mainly on children and their lives that reflect the psychological feelings of children. The second group is part of the shadow fair that contains black and white photographs that uses the light to reflect the image without any words involved.
Dr. Sharif AbuKarsh- the Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences started the fair as he welcomed the guests and asserted that the university always welcomes the talented people from the local community. He added that one of the goals that the university is concerned about is serving the local community, and he appreciated the role that Al-Horyeh theatre does to deliver the Palestinian people message through the theatre shows and fairs.

Mr. Fathi I’mour – the Head of the Public Relations Department at the university admired the photographs that were at the fair and how they reflect the humanitarian and nature sides. Mr. I’mour also indicated that those art works are able to successfully enter some international level competitions.
Mr. Imad AbuHantash- the vice president for the Administrative body at Al-Horyeh theatre appreciated the generous hospitality from the university and asserted on the importance of the fair as it contained photos reflecting the trainer’s personality.
The Head of the Multimedia Department- Mohammad Moáwyeh indicated that the photography course aims to develop the capabilities of using the camera. He mentioned the need to deliver our voice through pictures and photographs and to confound the Israeli image about the Palestinian people as being terrorists.
