Researcher Tamara Yaqoub Abed, physics student at the Arab American University Faculty of Graduate Studies, defended her thesis entitled “Effects of Cultivating Ytterbium // Flakes on the Physical Properties of Cadmium Sulfide Chips”.
The researcher discovered the effects of coating 70-nanometer Terbium film between two layers of cadmium sulfide on structural, optical and electrical properties. X-ray diffraction, electronic microscopy scanning, X-ray dispersion, class analysis and electro-thermal technology were used to study these effects. Pointing, coating Terbium fill with two layers of 500-nanometer cadmium sulfide enhances the structural nature of the films without altering their structural constants.
By the end, the committee of the thesis supervisor and head of committee Prof. Dr. Attef Qasrawi, Arab American University internal examiner Dr. Zaki Saleh and external examiner from An-Najah University Dr. Eyad Saad Aldeen, decided to give Tamara Abed a Master degree.
