University Honors 120 Participants in Memorizing Holy Quran and Tajweed Courses

Under the auspices of Emirates Human Appeal International

Arab American University honored 120 competitors from its students, school students and local community who participated in memorizing Holy Quran and Tajweed, organized by Law and Jurisprudence department at AAUP Faculty of Law.

This honoring was part of a ceremony organized by the departments Holy Quran Forum under the auspices of Emirates Human Appeal International

University Vice President for Training Affairs Dr. Nizam Diab opened the ceremony with a speech where he conveyed greetings of AAUP President Prof. Dr. Ali Zedan Abu Zuhri. In presence of Emirates Human Appeal International commissioner in Palestine Ibrahim Rashid, Head of Law and Jurisprudence department at Faculty of Law Dr. Khair Aldeen Taleb and participants’ families.

Dr. Diab pointed, the university welcomes all activities connecting AAUP with the community. Explaining, universities improves by extent of what they offer to society, stressing on this meeting importance especially as it embraces people who memorized Muslims holy book Quran. Praising, the role of the Department of Law and Jurisprudence at Faculty of Law.

Head of Law and Jurisprudence department at Faculty of Law Dr. Khair Aldeen Taleb said that the department seeks to merge scientific and practical sides for student and memorizing Quran is one of the main pillars to find motive to create strong personality. Pointing, for the last four years the department was organizing this annual contest for participants from inside and outside the university. Stressing, working by Quran in the way towards development and improvement. And finally, thanking everyone who contributed and helped make this event a success.

As for Emirates Human Appeal International commissioner in Palestine Ibrahim Rashid, he thanked Arab American University for hosting this competition, pointing, hosting such events is the organization’s duty towards local community. Also he urged honored students to continue the way they started, not to retreat and not only memorizers the Quran, but to represent it on reality and teach it to upcoming generations.

As for AAUP student Shahd, one of the contest participants, talked on her experience in the forum, the Quran’s blessings on its life and called to encourage children to read and memorize Quran.

The honoring ceremony included contests, religious songs, meaningful theater plays, presenting the forums achievements in a pre-prepared report and to end the ceremony with honoring participants in Memorizing Holy Quran and Tajweed courses.
