Arab American University hosted the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas Strategic Affairs Consultant in a political seminar entitled “Palestinian Reality and Foresight the Future – Strategic Vision”, attended by a number of university’s professors and students. This seminar comes as a part of Presidency program to communicate with Palestinian universities and their students based on partnership and responsibility.
University President Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri, AAUP Vice President for Training Affairs Dr. Nizam Diab, University Ramallah headquarter Dr. Mohammad Sba’neh, President and members of Students Union Council and the Public Relations crew at AAUP all welcomed Dr. Zamlat.
During the seminar moderated by Public Culture Department Manager at Faculty of Arts Dr. Jamal Hanaisheh, Dr. Zamlat said “Politically and legally there is no deference between east and west Jerusalem before reaching a final decision among the Palestinian and Israeli parties”, and it’s important for the Jerusalem issue in its both political and legal sides in details for our Palestinian people especially the youth, university students and international community, especially at this time and the talks on transferring the American Embassy to Jerusalem.
Dr. Zamlat said “If the American President Donald Trump fulfilled his promises to Israel, move the embassy to Jerusalem then it will blow of the fundamental bases of the peace process and the United States will lose its eligibility to be a neutral party.
He showed the Palestinian Leadership strategy locally, nationally and internationally, stressing on the importance of the Political movement and accomplish legal and political accomplishments along with continuous work to empower the inner Palestinian forces and empower central Palestinian representation.
Dr. Zamlat talked on the international Peace Conference’s success to international responsibility to affectively participate in political settlement process. He also explained the President Mahmoud Abbas vision to reduce unemployment ratio among graduates by adoption of employment policy as a viable alternative to the limited employment in the public and private sectors through financing and loaning to small and micro-enterprises through operating fund to reduce unemployment rates among graduates.
At the end, Student Union Council honored Dr. Zamlet for his role in to contact with university students in particular and young people in general.
