A three-party agreement was signed by the Arab American University, Polytechnic Palestine, and Al-Quds to launch a PhD program in information technology engineering, the first ever in Palestine.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Chairman of the Arab American University Directors Board Dr. Yousef Asfour and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Palestine Polytechnic University Mr. Ahmed Tamimi, where the president of the American Arab University Prof. Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zahri and the President of Palestine Polytechnic University Dr. Imad Khatib and a representative of Al-Quds University president Prof. Dr. Hasan Dwaik, signed the agreement in the presence of the respective faculties deans to apply for the program accreditation by the Ministry of Education and Higher education.
Dr. Asfour praised the agreement signed between the partner universities to have a PhD program in IT engineering. Noting, we are ready to provide all the program requirements. He stressed, the Arab American University is open to the partnership idea and attracting Palestinian energies to work in these disciplines to provide the Palestinian market with higher degrees.
Prof. Dr. Abu Zahri explained the importance of the joint PhD program in information technology engineering. Noting, it was the first of its kind at the national level, adding the teaching staff various, joint experiences would reflect positively on the graduates.
The partner universities have many qualified human potentials and outstanding academic and research experience in the information technology engineering fields through their active participation in publishing scientific research in globally accredited journals and participate in specialized conferences internationally and locally. As well as international relations with researchers and research institutions in the world.
