University Signs Partnership Agreement with the Qatari Committee for Supporting Jerusalem

The Arab American University President Prof. Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri and Secretary of the Permeant Qatari Committee for the Support of Jerusalem Major General Belal Natsheh signed a partnership and cooperation agreement between the two parties to support and help Jerusalem students enrolled in the university.

This came during a visit of the Major General Natsheh to the University. The University President Dr. Abu Zuhri and the member of the University's Board of Trustees Jamal Hwail welcomed him.1

Dr. Abu Zuhri welcomed the visiting delegation and gave them detailed explanation about the university and its growth. He pointed, the university offers several financial grants to students, as well as providing loans to support them to continue learning and overcome the difficult economic conditions.

The Secretary of the Qatari Committee for supporting Jerusalem Major General Belal Natsheh praised the Arab American University role. Pointing that the signed agreement with the University aims mainly to financially fund the educational and cultural sector in Palestine to help Jerusalem students in the university. The Committee to support Al-Quds plans and programs will cooperate with the university to ease the financial burden on the Jerusalemite students who suffer greatly due to the occupation policies targeting their national and cultural identity through aid programs and scholarship.

Adding, the committee would like to provide grants to Jerusalem students who study at the Arab American University through a variety of financial aids.

At the end of the meeting, the two parties signed the agreement Major General Belal Natsheh handed the University President Prof. Dr. Abu Zuhri a JD 30,000 check to deposit in the university’s bank account to support Jerusalem’s students.
