Arab American University in Ramallah campus welcomed the Minister of Health, Dr. May Kiyla, and discussed ways of joint cooperation in medical fields, research and scientific studies. Where the university honored her the university shield her new position.
Dr. Yousif Asfour the chairman of Board of Directors along with the University's President Prof. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri, Academic Prof. Waled Deeb, Board Member Mr. Jamal Huail, and other Vice-Present welcomed the Minister of Health.
During the visit, the university president welcomed Dr. May Kiyla and congratulated her for her new position as Minister of Health in the Government of the Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Ashtiyeh, and congratulated her on behalf of AAUP family. He also gave her brief about the university, its goals and vision. The university faculties, especially in medical fields, and the free medical services provided by the faculties of dentistry, nursing, allied medical sciences, and its therapeutic centers for local community. Assuring the importance of this cooperation in various fields of scientific, medical development and services provided to the citizens.
He added, that the university invests in its academic expertise, its student skills, laboratories and medical devices with the Ministry of Health to benefit from them and enhance cooperation, especially in the conduct of research and medical studies, and organizing related conferences and workshops.
The university also honored the Minister of Health with the University's Shield, praising her professionalism and long career. Assuring that the university seeks to develop the medical sector in Palestine and to support the ministry to help provide medical services. And to provide qualified graduates to meet the needs of the local market.
The Minister May Kiyla expressed her pride towards Arab American University and praised the capabilities the university offer to its students and the services provided to the community through laboratories and clinics. She also thanked the University and said, "There are orders from the Prime Minister Dr. Mohammed Ashtiyeh to develop all the facilities of the Ministry of Health, and enhance the services offered to citizens, achieve satisfaction with these services," and noted that Palestine is unique in the Medical sector and provides many hospitals and doctors highly skilled. Hoping soon that the citizen will be able to see the development in the provided medical services.
as she added, that the Ministry of Health is working hard to develop plans, in cooperation with various bodies, universities, centers and hospitals, to develop programs that will enhance medical services provided to citizens. She added that the Ministry of Health is working to strengthen the existing cooperation with Arab American University.
