Arab American University Office of Vice President for Planning and Development held a workshop to introduce the “Chevening” scholarship program from the British Government to complete Master degree in British universities for university staff and students.
Vice President for Planning and Development Dr. Osama Salameh started the workshop. He welcomed the British Scholarship staff and stressed on the importance of benefiting from it, know applying mechanics to get this wonderful opportunity to study in Britain. Also, talked about previous experiences of university students and employees in obtaining a number of Grants from international institutions.
During the workshop, a team and a number of British Chevening Scholarship graduates reviewed the mechanisms for applying to British universities, importance of choosing a specialization that reflects the applicant's orientation and future aspirations, how to obtain unconditional admission from the university, passing TOEFL and IELTS exams.
Also they talked about the terms of study after receiving a “chevening” scholarship.
During the workshop, attended by a group of university students and graduates, many questions were asked about the grant.
