A Workshop for the TESLA Project at the University to Develop Educational Materials

The Faculty of Engineering and IT at the University held a workshop for the Tesla project funded by both the European Union and Erasmus Plus, with the participation of Arab American university, Istiqlal University which is the Project Manager, Polytechnic University, Al-Quds Open University, Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra, and Polytechnic in Romanian Bucharest from Europe.

A workshop for the TESLA project at the university to develop educational materials

TESLA project is a capacity building project that aims at integrating virtual reality technology into education process in Palestinian higher education sector. The project includes a series of activities with European training for developing scenarios of educational materials in Palestinian universities. In addition to many technical training workshops for engineers and programmers to develop educational programs for Students using virtual reality technology. Where learning materials will be provided for university students using virtual reality to enable them to interact with learning materials remotely.

During the workshop, they discussed the development of three educational materials related to physics, geography of Palestine and biology, taught in participating Palestinian universities using the virtual reality technique.

The participants reviewed their works and achievements regarding the analyzing, and educational materials designs, and their development within the project scope.

The team will be led by Dr. Ahmed Awais, project coordinator, Dr. Rami Hadrab from the technical team, Dr. Jacqueline Gibran, and Mr. Saeed Khasib from the educational team to manage the development stage of the educational materials in the coming period.

The workshop also included technical team meetings, an administrative meeting with the project manager Mr. Fayez Abdel Hafiz, and project coordinators from the participating universities.
