AAUP participates in the virtual exchange workshop

A delegation of academics, administrators and students from AAUP participated in the virtual exchange workshop that was held in Ramallah and organized under collaboration with the European- Palestinian Cooperation Office and the Mediterranean Universities Union. Mr. Marsilio Scalisi – the Head of the Mediterranean Universities Union network, Dr. Nidal Jayousi- the Head of Erasmus Office, representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and representatives from the Palestinian universities all attended the workshop.

Representations for projects and its techniques were discussed during the workshop along with a discussion about the chances for future cooperation concerning the virtual exchange and how to encourage it in Palestine.

AAUP Delegation Visits University of Evora in Portugal Within the University’s Governance Project

AAUP participated in a workshop held at the University of Evora in Portugal as part of the EU Governance Project, funded by the European Union "Erasmus Plus", that included partnership between ten Palestinian and European universities.

AAUP was represented by Dr. Muath Sabha, team leader, Dr. Amjad Ratrout, Dr. Nizam Diab, Dr. Ahmed Owais, Mr. Sami Awad, and Dr. Bashar Daraghmeh.

The participants discussed during the workshop their universities experiences regarding University Governance, and the workshop was accompanied by field visits to a number of facilities and centers of the University of Evora, including the Technological Center, the Faculty of Agriculture, and the Faculty of Ph.D, as they were able to explore the university’s experience in these fields.

A workshop for the TESLA project at the university to develop educational materials

The Faculty of Engineering and IT at the University held a workshop for the Tesla project funded by both the European Union and Erasmus Plus, with the participation of Arab American university, Istiqlal University which is the Project Manager, Polytechnic University, Al-Quds Open University, Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra, and Polytechnic in Romanian Bucharest from Europe.

TESLA project is a capacity building project that aims at integrating virtual reality technology into education process in Palestinian higher education sector. The project includes a series of activities with European training for developing scenarios of educational materials in Palestinian universities. In addition to many technical training workshops for engineers and programmers to develop educational programs for Students using virtual reality technology.
