Arab American University in Ramallah and Erasmus Plus Office in Palestine organized a meeting to introduce the "Erasmus Plus" program aimed at building the capacity of higher education institutions by enhancing the opportunities of students, academic and administrative staff at the university to exchange knowledge and professionalism in Palestine, regionally and Europe.

During the meeting, the representative of Erasmus Plus office in Palestine Dr. Nidal Al-Jayousi spoke about the mechanisms of submitting project proposals in the program, grants and other programs within Erasmus Plus program.

He added that The program funded by the European Union, also provides a range of scholarships for students at different levels of education and workers in the institutions of higher education from around the world, including Palestine.

Dr. Yousef Asfour Chairman of the University's Board of Directors visits the University's development projects

The Chairman of board of directors at Arab American University Dr. Yousef Asfour visited recent development projects implemented at the university, and ensured the progress of the work.

During his tour, Dr. Asfour was accompanied by Prof. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri, the Academic Advisor Prof. Walid Dieb, the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Ara, the Board Member Mr. Raed Dahlab and the contributor Ghaleb Al-Hafi.

Part of singing the agreement

Hassib Al-Sabbagh Center for Information Technology Excellence at Arab American University signed two agreements to sponsor projects with two groups of university students through the recently launched PASS program, which is implemented by Leaders Foundation, funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

The Manger of Hassib Al-Sabbagh Center, Eng. Ahmed Fouad, said that the program aims to support the pioneering ideas and turn them into projects and new institutions. Where it will be done with the students whom signed the agreement.

He explained that the first agreement was signed with the students Abdul Salam Mansour, Mukhlas Turkman, and Ali Sawahreh, where their project is about designing a device to measure the signs of ECG and analysis it, using data mining techniques to predict the patient's heart disorder problems and to find a cure for them before complications occur.
