UN Women has chosen a professor from AAUP to represent Palestine in a high-level international symposium in Rome that aims to enhance the participation of women in the decision making processes.
UN Woman, the global champion for women, has chosen Dr. Dalal Iriqat - a professor in the Conflict Resolution and Strategic Planning programs in the Faculty of Graduate Studies in AAUP to represent Palestine in the high-level international seminar in Rome.
The Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences organized a seminar entitled "Jurisprudential Matters in Islamic Banking Transactions", the seminar hosted by Shari'a Controlling Department in the Palestinian Islamic Bank.
The seminar was attended by the Dean of Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences Dr. Abdul Basit Rabayah, the head Shari'a Controlling Board of the Palestinian Islamic Bank Dr. Ali Sartawi, along with Prof. Hussam ElDin Afaneh member of Shari'a Controlling Board, Bank Manager in northen region Khetam Abu Attia, and other Representatives of specialized banking institutions, faculty members and university students.
Biological Sciences and Biotechnology Dept. the Faculty of Science AAUP held a scientific seminar about “Biological forensic analysis” its importance & DNA usage, presented by the Lecturer Mr. Mahmoud Abed, a Consultant working with the UN Office for Drugs and Crime, also a Specialist in Biological Forensic Analysis and Head of Life Sciences Dept. at the Canadian Police Foundation, Quebec Region, Canada
The seminar was attended by Faculty members, administrative staff, and university students, where Dr. Firas Al-Batta opened the seminar and assured the importance of this seminar.
Mr. Abed said: “Forensic science is one of the leading applied sciences in the service of human community to help achieve justice, especially Forensic Biology \ Forensic Sciences. This specialty has evolved over the past years, especially in terms of DNA forensics with the development of genetic material technology.
