Policy & conflict resolution studies center had finished its preparation for the Polish – Palestinian Academic Conference about “National Narratives”, the will be held in the university Ramallah campus in the 2nd of October 2018, with the participation of Polish and Palestinian academics and researchers.

The conference come also with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining independence, the conference aims to explore both the Polish and Palestinian national narratives through its historical phases, as it aims in building the and new all exclusive national narrative for both countries during the era of globalization, branding and public diplomacy.

Part of the Lecture

The Policy and Conflict Resolution Studies Center hosted Dr. Ibrahim Freihat who is specialized and a researcher in many international conflicts and the head of the MA program in conflict management and humanitarian work at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies and Georgetown University. Dr. Freihat presented in his lecture for Conflict Resolution and Development students in the course of Israel and the outside world, presented by Dr.

During his readings and analysis of the current political situation of the Palestinian issue within the regional equation and political trends, Freihat assured that the regional alliances based on the policy axes and the position of these axes in the main effective issues in regional politics, including the most important the Palestinian issue. Historically there was the axis of opposition, which includes countries that have a hardline stance with Israel.

The researcher Athar Houdley, a student in Strategic Planning and Fundraising at Graduate Studies Faculty in AAUP Ramallah campus, had discussed her MA thesis under the title of “Enhancing the concept of Monitoring, Evaluating, Controlling and educating in Non-Governmental organizations in Palestine”.

The Researcher targeted in her thesis, how to outlook the projects specialized for development implemented in Palestine through several non-governmental organizations locally or international, and found that there is a need to use different technics and systems to achieve the desired objectives of those projects.
