UN Women has chosen a professor from AAUP to represent Palestine in a high-level international symposium in Rome that aims to enhance the participation of women in the decision making processes.
UN Woman, the global champion for women, has chosen Dr. Dalal Iriqat - a professor in the Conflict Resolution and Strategic Planning programs in the Faculty of Graduate Studies in AAUP to represent Palestine in the high-level international seminar in Rome.
AAUP – Ramallah campus organizes a meeting for postgraduate students in conflict resolution and development program, strategic planning and fundraising program about Palestine Investment Fund and Development in the areas named (C), and the obstacles and opportunities that face the Palestinian development.
The meeting was presented by Mr. Awad Daibes the Director of the PR unit and Institutional Communications in the Palestine Investment Fund. He introduced the Palestinian Investment Fund, its establishment, functions and development, in addition to its achievements and its local and international companies. As he added that the Fund invests and focuses on all Palestinian areas, as Jerusalem and areas named (C).
Faculty of Graduate Studies at Ramallah Campus hosted Mr. Awad Qumsieh, Enterprise Risk Manager at Ooreedo Palestine in a lecture for students of the strategic risk management course in the Master of Strategic Planning and Fundraising program
Dr. Ra’id Shomali, course professor, invited Mr. Qumsieh to class in order to share his experiences in managing enterprise risk for a major private sector Palestinian organization. In his talk, Mr. Qumsieh emphasized that even though regulatory pressures have increased the implementation of risk management in the banking industry, Ooreedeo is the first private sector organization to voluntarily establish an enterprise risk management department.
