The Journal of Arab American University for Research won the title of Arab Distinguished Journal of the year 2019 during the Fourth International Conference of Arab Impact Factor for the classification of scientific journals of universities, which was organized in cooperation between Arab Impact factors and the Union of Arab Universities, and hosted by Nile University in Egypt.
This award is given to distinguished Arab Journals with high quality in all respects of the journal. The award was presented by the Arab Impact Factor Project aiming to support and promote scientific research throughout the Arab world and to participate in preparing and inspiring Arab researchers, experts and specialists to raise in scientific publishing in the Arabic language in all scientific disciplines.
Arab American University hosted the final championship for the North Group of Al-Khamasiat Soccer for Palestinian Universities for males, organized by the Palestinian Federation for University Sports, where Arab American University team ranked first place, then Al-Najah University team came in second place
The head of the competitions committee in the Palestinian Federation of Palestinian Universities Hassan Nasif said that the championship started with a match between Al-Najah University and Palestine Technical Khadouri University, where Al-Najah won the game with a score of "2-1", the second game was between Palestine Technical Khadouri University and Arab American University, where AAUP won with a score of "10 - 2 ", and the third was between Arab American university and Al-Najah, where the game end with equal scores.
AAUP team has qualified for the third and final stage in PASS Competition, which is part of a program implemented by Leaders institution, funded by the Korean Agency for International Cooperation. The team consists of students and graduates from the faculties of Engineering & Information Technology, administrative and financial Sciences, where the team was selection among the top 10 leading projects national wide.
Other universities are also participating in the project as Al-Quds, Birzeit, Al-Najah, and Khadouri".
The idea of the project is to design a device that measures and analyzes ECG signals, using data mining techniques to predict the patient's heart disorder problems and to find a cure for it before complications occur.
