The university hosted the president of Joint Arab Establishment in the Knesset, Ayman Odeh, at a session entitled " Jewish National – State Law". The event was attended by the university's assistant director for community affairs Dr. Iyad Dalbeh, and the head of the culture department at the Faculty of Arts Dr. Jamal Hanisha, and a large number of students and university staff.

The university’s president, Professor Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri, handed over to the father of the deceased Maram Sabeeh, a student in occupational therapy at the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences from Kfarkna village in the Palestinian 48 territories, her university certificate as an honor of her spirit, after she passed away from a heart attack, where she only had one hour left to complete her dream of graduation.
