A specialist in technology, Professional services, and scientific research.

Received more than 2.ml dollars grants and published 54 research in international scientific journals

Prof. John will be teaches Ph.D. in Business students, Research Methods Course at AAUP

Hult Prize 2020 Orientation Day at AAUP

Haseeb Al Sabbagh IT Center for Excellence and HULT Prize team in partnership with the Faculty of Engineering and IT at the University organized the first orientation meeting about HULT Prize competition. The team talked about their experience of participating in the international competition, which was held in Paris and London in April and September of this year, in which 120 participants were selected from among a quarter - million students around the world.

The team gave a presentation about the competition for the year 2020 and the registration process. The winner will receive a prize of one million dollars.

HULT Prize is the world's largest student entrepreneurship competition that aims to establish profit companies to face one of the societal challenges and to engage students in creating positive change. In more than 200 universities participate in this competition and is held in more than150 countries.

Data Matters Festival Organized by AAUP and PCBS

Data Matters Festival organized by AAUP & PCBS with the occasion of the World Statistics Day, on the 20th of October each year, the festival was held at the Culture Palace in Ramallah sponsored by the Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Shtayih.

The Festival was attended by AAUP President Prof. Ali Zaidan Abu Zuhri, PCBS President Dr. Ola Awad, GM of Bank of Palestine Mr. Rushdie Ghalayini, CEO of Paltel Group Mr. Ammar Al-Aker, the International Expert Sander Davstein, along with local and international experts, representatives of governmental, private institutions.

Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Shtayih declared that the launching of Data Matters Projects is a milestone to the future.

As he added that without data there is no planning which in return there will be no development, as he pointed out that “Cluster” plan presented by the government relies on data offered by the PCBS.

President of PCBS Dr. Ola Awa: Data Science Festival is being held in celebration of the World Statistics Day and to lead up with global developments in light of the information revolution and technological development.

Data Science Initiative on the Palestine level, is considered to be part of many related projects that will be performed in Palestine.

In this celebration we highlight the role of the Data Science Initiative, including all of its projects, in helping to improve the status of Palestine by using the information revolution and big data to overcome challenges and achieve sustainable social development to serve public good. PCBS also calls for a full partnership between all national institutions from the private and civil sectors, in addition to the components of the National Statistical System to provide the necessary support for the initiative’s success and growth.
