Haseeb Al-Sabbagh IT Center for Excellence in cooperation with Faculty of Engineering and IT, organized an Awareness workshop about “cybersecurity and its risks" presented by Eng. Montaser Bedair, General Manager of IT Security C&T.
During the workshop, Mr. Bedair presented the main challenges of cybersecurity, and how the institutions can handle these risks and cyber threats, especially electronic hacking (Hacking) and ways to address them. As he mentioned the job opportunities and career path of cybersecurity in Palestine for students and graduates.
On the other hand, Arab American University team won first place in the "8th Student Creativity Conference" organized by Palestine Polytechnic University, with their project called GREEN.
Faculty of law at AAUP organized a conference for The Right of Peaceful Assembly in Palestinian Territories with the cooperation of Shams Center for Human Rights and Democracy.

VP of Academic Affairs Dr. Muayad Abu Saah welcomed the attendance and said that AAUP continues to support such conferences hoping to sum up with effective recommendations where AAUP will support these recommendations for the benefit of Palestine, thanking all those who contributed in the success of the conference.
Writer Yasser Al Masri launched his novel The Hoopoe’s Vamp "Victims" at AAUP during a ceremony organized by Community Affairs Dept, in the presence representatives of Palestinian universities, public institutions, officials from security services, and university students.
The novel “The Hoopoe’s Vamp” It focused on criticizing many issues related to the public and political life of the Palestinian situation in all its organizational and partisan components.
Biological Sciences and Biotechnology Dept. the Faculty of Science AAUP held a scientific seminar about “Biological forensic analysis” its importance & DNA usage, presented by the Lecturer Mr. Mahmoud Abed, a Consultant working with the UN Office for Drugs and Crime, also a Specialist in Biological Forensic Analysis and Head of Life Sciences Dept. at the Canadian Police Foundation, Quebec Region, Canada
The seminar was attended by Faculty members, administrative staff, and university students, where Dr. Firas Al-Batta opened the seminar and assured the importance of this seminar.
Mr. Abed said: “Forensic science is one of the leading applied sciences in the service of human community to help achieve justice, especially Forensic Biology \ Forensic Sciences. This specialty has evolved over the past years, especially in terms of DNA forensics with the development of genetic material technology.
The Deanship of Student Affairs in cooperation with the Police College organized a workshop for its students about the legal forms of dealing with crimes at the college headquarters in Jericho, this workshop aims to raise awareness and knowledge of students regarding this subject.
The organizers of the workshop stressed the importance of such workshops to educate students in enhance security and safety among them, pointing out the importance of organizing several awareness sessions about public safety, ways of providing security and safety, and how to cooperate with the police and the security services.
The Policy and Conflict Resolution Studies Center at AAUP in Ramallah hosted the German director Monica Moore, one of the pillars of the struggle cinema that came to Lebanon in the 1970s and was engaged in the resistance film movement established by the Palestine Films Unit of the PLO.
Monica Moore is currently working to preserve the oral history and audiovisual testimony of an important era of the Arab-Israeli conflict from 1978-1983, by digitizing more than 100 hours of films made with a 16mm camera.
The discussion took place in the presence of representatives of archival institutions from various sectors on the possibility of establishing a public, accessible and free national archive.

The Guests discussed the importance of this program for the future opportunities of its students since it’s the first program in interior architecture in Palestine, where Palestine lacks of professionals of this field. The program will be taught with high international teaching methods by international experts, academic, and artists. As the will practical training in the Verona Academy for one semester.
AAUP is ready for the conference of “The Right to Peaceful Assembly in Palestinian Territories”. In cooperation with the Human Rights and Democracy Center "Shams", to be held next Sunday, 27th of October - main campus - Jenin.
Dr. Ghassan Allian Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University and head of the Preparatory Committee of the Conference assured the importance of the conference, where the conference will be talking about one of the forms of the right to freedom of opinion and expression. He pointed out that peaceful assembly is one of the legitimate ways of expressing opinion and political participation to build a democratic system, based on ensuring respect for human rights and human dignity.
