the ending of the first annual graduate school research conference at the university campus – Ramallah, sponsored by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Abu Mowais. the conference was organized by Faculty of Graduate Studies, Deanship of Scientific Research with the partnership of Policy and Conflict Resolutions Studies Center at AAUP.
The Conference was opened by Professor John Dogger an expert in technology and professional services management, Prof John has more than 53 papers published in scientific journals, and advisor in excellent scientific research for graduate students, as he mentioned the methods of writing a research problem, especially as most of the research focuses mainly on Statistical analysis and quantitative data.
A delegation from the Academy of Fine Arts Verona – Italy, Prof. Francesco Runzon the Program Director at the Academy, and Martha Ferretti Projects and International Relations Director visited AAUP campus at Ramallah to complete the preparations of launching the Bachelor Program in Interior Architecture.
Prof. Waleed Deeb, AAUP Academic Advisor and Mr. Fathi Amour PR Manager welcomed the delegation. this visit aims to introduce the delegation to AAUP campus at Ramallah and its teaching facilities. furthermore, to organize the teaching process and coordinate with the faculty staff from the Academy that will be teaching this program.
Prof. Runzon said that “this visit will be for 7 days as we will be exploring the nature of Interior Architecture in Palestine to connect it with the teaching process by a survey of the needs, reality and the cultural life of Palestine.

the Conference was attended by the Minister of education and higher education and scientific research, AAUP Presidents and its academic Advisor along with members of the BOD, and the Venezuelan Ambassador, Member of the Executive Committee of PLO, and President Assistants, and Deans of Faculties, and representatives, Faculty members and administrative bodies, graduate students and members of the Preparatory Committee for the Conference.
The chairman of board of directors Dr. Yousef Asfour, and V-Chairman Eng. Abdel-Halem Muwahd, and member of BoD Eng. Mohammad Muwahd visit AAUP to check on the development projects of infrastructure and buildings, in addition to the latest acheivments regarding the academic and research fields.
the board was welcomed by Prof. Ali Abu Zuhri President of AAUP, member of the board Dr. Raed Dablah and President Assistant Eng. Bara Asfour and VP of administrative and Financial Affairs Dr. Hassan Yassen, and the Business man Mr. Ghaleb Al-Hafi.
The Students' Union Council and the Student Youth Movement organized a reception for the new students, in the presence of Jenin Governor General Akram Rajoub, Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Bashar Daraghmeh, member of the Revolutionary Council of Fatah Wafa Zakarneh, and Director of Preventive Security in Jenin Colonel Muhannad Abu Ali. And the secretary of the Fatah movement Jenin province Atta Abu Rmeileh, and head of shabibeh youth file in Jenin Iman Nazzal.
The Dean of Student Affairs at the university, Dr. Daraghmeh, welcomed the attendees and welcomed the new students on behalf of the university family and said that our role in the university represented by its management is pleased for the joining of this distinct group of our children. "
He added, "The university is pleased to gather all the Palestinians from its sea to its river on the land of Jenin, and they will graduate to take on many tasks in building our homeland and developing the society."
AAUP kindly welcomed Prof. Khaled Abu Asbeh, to be part of its faculty members for Ph.D. program in Educational Administration. he has finished his first and second degree in education and received his doctoral degree in Social Sciences in 2004.
He worked as a researcher in several institutes, most recently at Van Leer Jerusalem Institute, as he established Masar Institute for applied social researches in his village Jeit and is still managing it.
As he was also a lecturer in many universities in the Palestinian 1948 territories
He was the head director of Sakwa association for equality for 8 years, and a member at Adalih institution and an administrative member at Mada institution in Hifa.

This conference comes in alignment with the university’s vision to enhance scientific research not only among academics but also university students to connect these researches with the local community and national issues.
Hassib Al-Sabbagh IT Center for Excellence and Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences at the University organized a workshop entitled "finding Jobs in FinTech".
The workshop targeted students in the following disciplines: Accounting, banking and Financial Sciences at the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences, through presenting jobs that are available in FinTech and career prospects in this Field.
The workshop was presented online by Mr. Mohammed Ramzi, a founding partner of ReliaBid Inc. Which is considered one of the most important companies in e-commerce services internationally.
The Policy and Conflict Resolution Studies Center always seeks to improve students of conflict resolution master program and literature and intercultural communication master programs on the academic and practical levels, through student exchange experiences in conflict zones in other international universities, and providing them with skills related to Conflict management, containment policy, negotiation and mediation.
as for that eight students from the Conflict Resolution master program, Literature and Intercultural Communication master programs will participate in a training about the tools and methods for handling conflict resolution and civil peace progress at the University of Granada in Spain from 25-30 November 2019.
